孵化, a full-service consultancy, is currently seeking a highly motivated Transportation Engineer (Junior/Intermediate) to join the Transportation, Highways & Bridges group in Vancouver, BC.
As the successful candidate, you will:
- Act as a transportation engineer as needed, including preparing road alignments, cross-sections, active transportation design, grading models, quantity estimates, cost estimates, project documentation, and specifications.
- Prepare designs using Transportation Association of Canada (TAC), MTO and/or other standards.

- Coordinate designs with the rest of the multidisciplinary team including structural, traffic, pavement, environmental, stormwater management, electrical, etc.
- Supervise, support, manage and mentor junior team members.
- Assist the Project Manager in the day-to-day coordination of projects including assisting in the managing of multidisciplinary projects to ensure compliance with budgets and schedules.
- Prepare work plans and schedules in coordination with project managers and other disciplines.
- Liaise with a variety of clients, government bodies, and colleagues:
- Support engagement and negotiation with key project stakeholders
- Participate in pursuit of opportunities and preparation of proposals (technical submission, schedule, and fee estimate).
You bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a strong emphasis on transportation or traffic engineering.
- Minimum EIT registered in BC and actively working towards P.Eng. or P.L.(Eng.) status.
- Experience in geometric design, an understanding of traffic modelling, ability to produce design drawings, technical memos, and reports.
- Maintain technical competency in transportation engineering and project delivery, including active participation in professional organizations and on-going professional development.
- Ability to liaise well with clients, colleagues and public bodies including technical associations, local authorities, and Provincial and Federal Ministries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Class Environmental Assessments, tender documents, construction inspection and contract administration, although not essential, would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with a variety of computer design tools including:
- AutoCAD
- Ansys
- Civil 3D
- Revit
- ArcGIS
- QGIS
- Suite of Microsoft Business Software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Bentley products (roads designer, drain designer)
