孵化is seeking a Thermal Power Engineer in Tampa, FL. This is a technical and business development position within the Power Business Unit of Hatch. It provides an opportunity for professional growth to the selected individual within the thermal power department by engaging in business development and project execution for studies, detailed design and owner’s engineering work for Utilities, Owners, Developers and Independent Power Producers in Florida and the Southeastern United States.

The incumbent should be highly knowledgeable of the Power Industry in the US and the including key players and contacts. The incumbent should be a mechanical engineer with process experience including boiler, piping and thermal cycle system designs. Operations, construction and commissioning experience is highly desired. Engineering office design work and leadership is required. Project Management Professional registration and/or PM Program experience is preferred. Interpersonal skills and personnel management experience and abilities are key attributes.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical engineering degree from a recognized university;
  • Registered Professional Engineering license is required;
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience within the thermal power industry in a consulting/engineering environment;
  • Experience with thermal power systems, such as gas, coal, biomass, liquid fuel, district energy and industrial thermal systems;

  • Ability to successfully lead small and medium projects with remote and local teams;
  • Flexibility for short term business travels;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients (both written and orally);
  • Track record of delivering projects on time and to budget;
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience within organizations and teams, people manager.
