HATCHis currently seekingBusiness Coordinatorfor ourOakland, CAoffice. In this role, you will be assisting the local branch of an elite team of transit and other infrastructure design professionals to pursue and manage projects throughout Northern California. In addition to your project and pursuits work, you will be helping to promote Hatch at local and national conferences. As with all of our positions, this position is an entrepreneurial role in which you will be able to leverage Hatch and our more than 1500 rail experts and 10,000 professionals around world to your ultimate success.

Our ideal candidate will be a professional with 3+ years of experience in the infrastructure industry promoting and selling work as well as some experience helping managers with operational tasks. Finally, our ideal candidate will be socially adept, a trusted advisor and partner with internal clients, and key link locally in managing Hatch’s outward relations with industry clients and partners. Trust and ability to follow through is critically important to Hatch and as a spokes person, this position must be trusted above nearly all others.

As a successful candidate, you will:

• Monitor, coordinate and report on key local client activities
• Support proposal development
• Organize and support Hatch’s client events and conference activities/sponsorships
• Support business development managers and their client engagements
• Provide logistics support and reporting for project managers
• Provide support to Hatch’s Northern California office
• Other duties as assigned

You bring to the role:

The appropriately qualified candidate will have the following core competencies and required experience:

• Business/Engineering or equivalent degree from a recognized university;
• 2 years of experience in the A&E Industry
• Experience in event and client management
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients (both written and orally)
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with the various parties involved in the process both internally and externally
• Time management skills and ability to adapt to change
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
