孵化's Oil & Gas business unit is seeking aSenior Process Engineerto join our established team of professionals in Calgary, Alberta. Hatch offers full discipline engineering, design, procurement and project management services to the energy industry. Key Responsibilities
• Act as the process lead on projects;
• Execute process technical feasibility studies, conceptual design, and process studies;
• Develop and stamp key design documents (Material Balance, PFD, P&ID, and Shutdown Keys);
• Line sizing, PSV sizing, preparation of equipment and instrument process data sheets;
• Generate control narratives, prepare start-up/operating manual;
• Conduct P&ID/HAZOP reviews, generate control narratives, prepare start-up/operating manual;
• Interface with other departments, project managers, engineers, clients, and vendors during all engineering phases of projects to ensure a good working interface;
• Provide process input and support on projects in collaboration with other disciplines;
• Provide appropriate engineering input and a technical overview to design activities undertaken by design/drafting staff residing within or outside the project team; and
• Ensure that the deliverables provided to the project are technically accurate, within scope, budget and schedule, suitable for the intended purpose and in compliance with quality procedures and project plans.
Skills and Experience
• Professional designation (P.Eng.) with APEGA;
• Minimum 10 years’ engineering design experience in oil and gas with EPCM background and a minimum 5 years of North American EPC experience
• Experience in design of oil and gas processing facilities including design and construction of related facilities;
• Experience in ammonia, hydrogen, carbon capture, and/or gas-to-liquids would be an asset
• Process design experience including process mass balances, process flow diagrams and process support services;
• Working knowledge of detailed design project (EPC and EPCM) execution for oil, gas, chemical and/or power industry clients;
• Proficiency with HYSYS, Fathom and related simulation software;
• Systems design experience including piping and instrument diagrams, cause and effect diagrams, hazard and operability design reviews and systems support services;
• Experience assisting project engineering leads and managers in project design and execution;
• Knowledge of federal/provincial safety policies and procedures along with knowledge and understanding of Canadian codes and standards;
• Knowledge of International Standards such as ASME, API, NFPA and NACE;
• Adept at writing technical reports and scopes of work; and
• Safety certificates such as WHMIS, Standard First Aid and H2S Alive would be an asset and may be required depending upon project.
