Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking an experiencedStructural Engineerto join the PDG Structural Group located at our Newcastle office.

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Provide structural engineering analysis and design for industrial/mining structures/material handling structures/bridges/civil structures (e.g., foundations, retaining walls, steel gantry structures, culverts) to Australian Standards
• Conduct structural condition assessments
• Plan engineering activities
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, and scopes of work
• Review engineering drawings
• Provide input to engineering, operating and cost estimates
• Participate and contribute to design reviews

You bring to the role:

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution
• Demonstrated design experience
• Structural design software experience - SpaceGass, Strand7 and Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry regulatory standards relating to structural engineering, including Australian codes and standards
