As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule
  • Progress the mechanical work plans for inclusion in the project specific execution plan
  • Manage/review Engineering Work Packages, deliverables/time-based functions - to ensure that budgets/schedules are achieved
  • Review and approve mechanical technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings, etc.)
  • Assist in the preparation and development of project specific procedures
  • Establish design tools, software, relevant codes and standards to be used on the project

You will bring to the role;

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (RPEng) or willingness to pursue
  • Ability to develop technical calculations from codes or first principles including an in depth knowledge of relevant codes and standards
  • Technical Report Writing skills
  • Strong deliverable focus and ability to supervise and check work
  • Experience with software packages (stress analysis, FEA etc.)
  • Extensive design and/or Project engineering experience leading teams in Oil & Gas (upstream & downstream) or Pipelines and/or Hydrogen or heavy industry environment
  • Demonstrated leadership and Client liaison skills
  • Excellent understanding and belief in safety principles, standards and legislation
  • Well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
